Meet Our Team

If you've spoken to us on the phone, wonder who we are or you'd like to know more about the consultant or auditor who is coming to visit you; this is the place to be! Below you'll find details of all of us brave enough to reveal a little more about who we really are. Here are just a few members of the team.

Jon Hull Top

Managing Director

"I have been involved in Quality Management for as long as I can remember! I first started as a quality manager for a local business, in those days quality management was referred to as BS 5750!"

"I took the knowledge and started JR Consultants in 1992. Since then I have made the business grow and expand year after year, with more services on offer than ever before! We have now helped over 200 businesses achieve accreditation to the standards offered and this figure increases each year."

I have seen many changes since BS 5750; quality management has evolved over the years to meet current demands and regulations and to bring it in line with good business practice, thus making it much easier to achieve certification."

I hope you find the information on this website useful, please, if you have any questions feel free to contact us and we will be happy to answer them for you."

As far as hobbies go….I spend time on the M25, (I think I spend more time on there than I do at home!!")

Natalie Hull Top

Consultant / Auditor

"I grew up never knowing what it was my dad actually did as a job."

"I can remember delivering leaflets for him at a young age, but to me, then, it was just a game. Now I find myself going into businesses and auditing their systems that enquired because of that leaflet I may have posted! At that point I was helping him expand his business, I just didn’t know it."

"It wasn’t until I was in my last years of school that I finally understood and found out what the ISO standards were, how they worked and how they could benefit a business, more so now than ever before."

"After I left college, I worked in T.K Maxx, and after a short period of time I was promoted to a Customer Services Manager, responsible for the day to day running of Customer Services. My responsibilities also included carrying out appraisals for my customer service team; it was here that I learnt the concept of Investors in People."

"I never expected to have successfully completed all of my Lead auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001. I have now been into many of our clients, auditing their systems so that my Dad can put his feet up and relax!!"

"As for hobbies….I enjoy playing football and play for my local team; Benfleet Ladies FC. I also enjoy going to my local pub, socialising, and going to Newquay in the summer months to catch a little surf!"

Nicola Hull Top

Consultant / Auditor

"I too, like my sister, remember the evenings spent folding flyers, and the Sunday mornings spent running round industrial estates, racing each other to get to that letter box!"

"You see, back then we were paid pennies for every leaflet delivered and £10 (I think) for any recommendation that came as a result of that leaflet. Unfortunately it’s not that simple now, but I think that even then I knew I would end up getting involved in the business (and I think that secretly Dad hoped we would too!")

"So, when I finished college and after spending 6 months in Menorca as a kid’s club representative for First Choice I knew it was time to take the plunge and get involved!"

"As a result I have successfully completed my lead auditor courses in all of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and have taken a much greater interest in health and safety."

"Now I also have my NEBOSH Level 3 General Certificate and am well on the way to achieving my Level 6 NEBOSH Diploma, which is something I would have never imagined doing."

"If you had asked me when I was at college what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, I would never have predicted that I would be doing what I am now. But, I thoroughly enjoy helping businesses working towards the ISO standards and enjoy the challenges I face on a day to day basis."

"As far as Hobbies go…. I am a keen hockey player and play for my local team Basildon Ladies, and also enjoy attending the gym every so often and when I get a chance!"

Chris Leech Top

Auditor

"I worked for a major bank for 31 years, in my final years I was an operations manager responsible for a large branch and six sub-branches. One of my principle responsibilities was ensuring that all legal requirements and procedures were complied with."

"After retiring from the bank I was happy to accept the offer of working for JR Consultants."

"I really enjoy helping business obtain the ISO standards and undertaking audits to ensure there are no major problems raised during future visits from assessment bodies."

"As for Hobbies I enjoy reading, gardening and supporting Canvey Island Football Club!"

Barry Scott Top

Auditor

"I joined JR Consultants in 2006 after retiring early from Bradwell Nuclear Power Station where I worked for 27 years as a team leader."

"My work experience has showed me the benefits and advantages from having good quality procedures and practices in place. I enjoy taking this knowledge and applying it to the variety of situations I am placed in thus helping companies and business achieve the ISO standards."

"I very much enjoy meeting new people and in my spare time I play golf, go to the Gym and riding my motorbike in the dry and sunny weather!"

Michael Fisk Top

Auditor

"I joined JR Consultants in 2006, having worked for a local engineering organisation prior to this so I had an idea of what ISO 9001 was and how it applied to my industry."

"The trick was taking this knowledge from my previous position and applying this to other industries, which I enjoyed and still enjoy!"

"As for hobbies, I thoroughly enjoy visiting other countries and collecting their currencies, and am also a keen photographer."

John Byron Top

Auditor

"I joined JR Consultants on a part time basis after I took retirement from my previous job, approximately 6 years ago."

"My job now is very similar to what it was in my previous capacity, however the difference is now I meet lots of new people and face a variety of industries which is far more interesting."

"As for hobbies, my children have had their children so I try to spend as much time with my grand children now as I can whilst they are still young."

Christina High Top

Office Manager

"I have worked for JR Consultants since 2003, and have now worked my way up to the office manager."

"My role pre-dominantly is organising the diary for everybody so every day to me is a challenge as the office here can be very busy at times, however this is what I love best."

"It has definitely got busier as time has gone on and as we are offering more services. I struggle to keep up with them all sometimes!"

"As for Hobbies, I am a volunteer for my local brownie pack and am also a keen follower of the grand prix, and will try and watch a race whenever I can."

Sue Edwards Top

Deputy Office Manager

"After 3 years of working in retail, I decided I wanted something a little more local and a job that was a few less days a week. In 2006 I joined JR Consultants as an administration assistant; I am now responsible for the accounts side of the business, which includes my favorite past time chasing out standing payments!"

"As for Hobbies, I enjoy going to the theatre, being pampered as much as I can and shopping."
