Investors in People Standard

Since 1990 tens of thousands of employers - employing millions of people - have been involved with Investors in People. The laurel leaf Investors in People plaque is displayed in businesses throughout the UK, such as shops, schools, banks, health and voluntary sector organisations.

Over 40,000 organizations have either gained, or are seeking to gain Investors in People recognition and tens of thousands of small businesses will work towards the Standard in the next few years.

What is the Investors in People Standard?

The Investors in People standard provides a framework that helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the effective management and development of their people.

We all know that people are the greatest asset to an organisation and for that organisation to succeed everyone has to perform well. To do this people need the right knowledge, skills and motivation to work effectively and efficiently.

The Investors in People standard is there to improve the way you work and whether you employ 2 to 10,000 people the criteria, or “indicators” are the same, providing a framework to enable you to get the most from your people.
